Purdue Weather Forecast

After Thursday's near-record low temperatures, the ApostroCats and Boilerplaters will look forward the relative balm of Saturday's mid-to-high 40s clime. Northwestern, used to the stinging lake-front winds, will play in shorts and tank tops (and flip flops.) The freedom of motion will allow them to take their offense to another level, and the defense will be liberated from the usual jersey-grabbing in the trenches.

Purdue, on the other hand, will be used to the southern breezes that October usually affords their hometown in usually-tropical Indiana. They will play in parkas, turtlenecks, snowpants and hip-waders. If you've never seen hip-waders with cleats, you should not miss this one. The extra padding will keep them warm, and the Boilers will absorb hits with ease, but lack of flexibility will hurt them more than anticipated.

Cats win!
